Overcoming Writer's Block By Robert Price There are dozens of books written about how to overcome writer's block. Here's how I overcome the dreaded block when writing a story - I simply introduce a new character. The character doesn't need to be someone who will stay in the story all the way through, they may just enter and leave but the fact they enter at all makes me have to devise things around them and tends to prompt me to consider new angles for my main characters.

Somebody else on my friend list wrote about writer's block recently and I said that I do not believe in it. But a new character livens up the task for sure. Have fun!
